Obituary of Warren Douglass Smith

Warren Douglass Smith, 72, departed this life on June 2, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Pence Smith.

Warren was born in Hamden, CT on June 22, 1944 to the late Walter and Violet (Elsa) Douglass Smith. Warren spent his early years growing up in Wallingford where he attended Lyman Hall High School. He became an accomplished Sheet Metal worker in the HVAC industry. He spent many years working for Amity Mechanical as well as G.L. Grey and was a proud member of the Tin Knockers Union, Local 40. Warren also loved hunting and fishing.

Warren is survived by his daughter, Diane Connolly (Neil) and son, Warren Smith (Pamela) all of Wallingford, as well as five beloved grandchildren; Brianna, Allison and Kyle Connolly, and Jessica and Matthew Smith.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 5th at 10:00am at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
