Obituary of Arthur O. Martineau
Arthur Omer Martineau, 83, departed this life on August 22, 2017 at the VA Hospital, West Haven, Connecticut.
A Wallingford resident for more than 55 years, Art was born in Putnam, Connecticut on August 18, 1934 to the late Wilfred and Antoinette (Barile) Martineau. Following graduation from Putnam High School, he joined the Army in 1953 until 1956. After the military, Art worked for Pratt & Whitney in New Haven before a long career in the trucking industry. His passion was gardening.
Besides his love Rosemary, Art is survived by his sister: Jeanne Bruso of Florida and children: Glenn Martineau of Texas, Robin McLean of Connecticut, Jeffrey Martineau of Connecticut, Scott Martineau of Indiana and Kelly Martineau of Connecticut. He has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
