Obituary of Nicholas G. Hallas, Sr.

WALLINGFORD - Nicholas G. Hallas Sr., 84, of Wallingford, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Masonicare Healthcare Center in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Pugno) Hallas.

Nicholas was born in Branford on March 31, 1933 to the late Gus and Felicia (Lair) Hallas. He served honorably in the U.S. Army, and fought for his country during the Korean War. After his service to his country, he worked as an automotive wholesaler before he retired.

Besides his wife Maryann, he will be missed by his two sons: Nicholas Hallas Jr. and Marc Hallas, both of Wallingford.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St. in Wallingford. Interment will be private.
