Obituary of Peter Hobson Taylor

Peter Taylor, 84, beloved father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on January 22, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Manchester and resided in Wallingford for the past several years. Peter was born on January 17, 1934 in Buffalo, NY to the late William and Jean (Hobson) Taylor. He was the husband of the late Virginia S. Taylor and Inger O. Taylor.

Peter served in the Army and then attended MSU. He was with Travelers in Hartford for over 30 years. Peter was a member and past president of the Silk City Chorus and member and deacon at Second Congregational Church both of Manchester. He also golfed for many years at Manchester Country Club and Blue Fox Run. He enjoyed many shows at Goodspeed Opera House and The Hartford Symphony as well as attending many programs at Ashlar Village. He is survived by his loving daughter Lisa McNabb of Cheshire, and grandchildren; Jenifer (McNabb) Parry and her husband Michael of Milford and Robert McNabb of Burlington, VT. He was predeceased by his brother William Taylor and sister Betty Wood.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00am at Ashlar Village, Wallingford CT. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
