Obituary of Marija (Marie) Rubenis

Marija "Marie" Rubenis, 101, departed this life on February 23, 2018 at the Masonic Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Valdermars Rubenis.

Marija was born in Latvia on July 12, 1916 to the late Tedors and Marija Bogdanova and emigrated to the United States in 1952 along with Valdermars. They resided in Ohio prior to coming to CT. She worked at Choate Rosemary Hall for many years and was a member of the American Latvian Lutheran Church in Manchester, CT.

A funeral service for Marija will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 9:30am, at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford.
