Obituary of Amber Elizabeth Griffing

Amber Griffing, 43, died on March 1, 2018 at her home in Meriden, CT. She was with her family, Joe Griffing and her three boys, Riley, Benjamin and Isaac. Amber was born in Bridgeport,CT on February 18, 1975 to John Krawczyk and Denise Singleton.

Amber enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and hosting parties, she also loved poetry and above all, her family was the most important thing to her. She worked for a number of years as a dispatcher at Affordable Bus Charters in New Haven, before transitioning to full-time motherhood. She loved to be surrounded by flowers and nature, with large gardens and constant plans for planting in the spring. She would have loved to see the first crocuses appearing in her front yard this week.

Amber is survived by partner and best friend of 17 years, Joseph Griffing; her sons, Riley Griffing, 16; Benjamin Griffing 15, and Isaac Griffing 11. She is also survived by her father John Krawczyk; mother Denise Singleton; sister Ariel Krawczyk; brother Ted Krawczyk; brother Troy Tucker; sister Brianna Tucker. Her extended family includes many brothers and sisters in law, adopted family, and close friends made throughout the years. Amber had a knack for making friends and welcoming people into her life.

Calling hours will be at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. in Wallingford on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11am at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main Street, Meriden, Connecticut, with interment to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, Connecticut.
