Sally was an inspiration to all of us in the social work profession. Her kindness, sensitivity and compassion for children and families were
exemplary. I am proud to have known her as a colleague and most important as a friend.

May the memories of your life burn brightly within all those who had the pleasure of making them with you, and those all around you. May those memories grow stronger with time within your memory box.

Sally, you are always going to be remembered in heart, thoughts and memories with much love. You were always there, but without being in the middle- a trait that can be rare in a mother-in-law. It's funny, I have much in my heart I wish to share, but at the moment, I get a bit choked up in being able to let them flow at the moment. I burn this virtual candle that doesn't burn out, but is almost everlasting- just like the love we all have for you.

It was a privilege working with Sally for twenty years at the Child Guidance Clinic. She was an advocate for children and for our staff, a mentor and a friend. She will remain in my heart.

I came to work at CGC primarily because of all the positive things I had heard about the clinical director of the agency. Sally was known not only in the community but state wide. I worked as a social worker at CGC for most of my professional life. I have so many meaningful and wonderful memories of working with Sally during those years. She was a true Professional in every sense of the word. She was a model, a leader, an expert in her field, a team builder and a decent human being. I was very fortunate to have known and worked along side such a committed and exceptional woman. Sally helped create all that was good with CGC. My memories are valuable and provide some comfort in this sad time.

I remember the first time I visited Sally in her office. I was so impressed by her office walls covered by hand drawings from the children she worked with. It demonstrates Sally’s well earned reputation as one of the state’s finest child therapists. NapDa

In memory of my Mom, and all the good she did in this world. A prominent Connecticut social worker once told me that "she was one of the finest children’s therapists I have ever met." Although I never really saw her doing this work, I have no doubt that this was 100 percent accurate. I do know from personal experience she was the greatest mother a son could have - tolerant and equanimous, supportive and evenhanded in the extreme, she was always there to help, in her private as well as public life.
