Obituary of James B. Bossidy
WALLINGFORD - James Bossidy, 89, departed this life on July 23, 2018 at the Regency House of Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Carroll) Bossidy. James was born in Meriden,CT on April 14, 1929 to the late James and Mildred (Mack) Bossidy. A graduate of Lyman Hall High School, Jim worked until his retirement he was employed as a Plant Analyst in Cable Test at Southern New England Telephone for 41 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and was a past master of Compass Lodge No. 9 AF & AM both in Wallingford. He was also a member of the Keystone Chapter No. 27 R.A.M., Hamilton Council No. 22, R. & S.M., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Bridgeport, Lafayette Consistory, S.P.R.S. 32 degree, Shpinx Temple Ritual Cast, Arabian Shrine Club of Meriden, Past Patron of Mizpah Chapter No. 37, O.E.S in Wallingford, Past District Deputy 4A, Honorary member of Annawon Lodge No. 115 AF & AM of West Haven. In addition to that, he was also a member of Morris F. Tyler Chapter No. 9, Telephone Pioneers of America.
James is survived by his two daughters; Betsy McCann and her husband Jim of Wallingford, and Ruth Dousay and her husband Roger of Livingston, TX; as well as his four grandchildren: Tonia Dousay and husband Kris Marriott, Joshua Cody, Travis McCann and wife Jennifer, and Jennifer Rascati and husband Tom. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren: Cameron McCann, Maxine McCann, and Bradley Rascati. Beside his loving wife, he was predeceased by his son, James E. Bossidy.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Monday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Burial will be private. If friends so desire, gifts in James' memory may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
