Obituary of Madeline R. Parker
WALLINGFORD - Madeline R. Parker, 64, of 40 S. Cherry St., passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Queens, NY on November 8, 1953, a daughter of the late Rev. Sydney Parker of Wallingford and the late Liselotte (Lottie) Furth Parker.
Madeline was a graduate of Tufts University and the Boston Museum School and had worked as an editor/publisher at Yale University. She was a member of the Sister City Project in New Haven and Sail Connecticut. She was a lover of cats; particularly Katze, her last cat which she had for 18 years.
Madeline is survived by her sister, Bernice Parker of Watertown, MA, a niece, Sarah Parker Yesko, an uncle, Gerard and his wife Selma Parker of FL and cousins, Jodi Seidner of Woodbridge and Nadine Jacobson of New York City. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Susan Parker formerly of New York City.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 3PM at the Cheshire United Methodist Church, 205 Academy Road, Cheshire, CT. There will be no calling hours. Entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY will be private. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
