Obituary of Deborah Toole

Deborah Toole, age 77 of Wallingford, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Born on September 11, 1941 in Stamford, CT Deborah was raised by the family of social services staffers who worked with her over the years. Although she did not have contact with her biological family, Deb was welcomed, loved and nurtured by her extended family of friends. She was a quiet, gentle and loving woman.

Deb enjoyed attending a variety of daily programs where she could engage her friends and participate in enriching and entertaining activities. She gravitated towards her peers and the staff members alike. She also had a maternal instinct that was outwardly apparent in how she treated others and tended to her numerous stuffed animal “babies.” It was very rare to see Deb without one or all of her babies in tow. As soon as Deb returned home for the evening, she would gather her family of babies and enjoy spending time with them in the living room along with her housemates and staff.

Deborah will be truly missed by those having had the pleasure of knowing her. A graveside service will be held for Deborah on Tuesday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the New North Cemetery, 87 Washington Avenue, Woodbury. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
