Obituary of Richard J. Tartakoff

Richard Tartakoff, of Avon, 91, beloved husband of Doris Tartakoff, departed this life on November 26, 2018 at Masonicare Health Center of Wallingford. Richard was born in Boston,MA on October 4, 1927 to the late Samuel and Jean Tartakoff. His education in Engineering, military service, and leadership as a Plant Manager was a testimony to his strength and integrity. A member of the Avon Flight club and a regular at the local Y where he would swim daily, Richard felt a part of the Community and appreciated their friendships.

In his final months, the circle of support included the nursing staff and CNA's of Ramage 2 at Masonicare Healthcare Center along with Granddaughter Jennifer Tartakoff. They will be remembered for how lovingly they helped him through this time while they became like his second family. Together they cheered along the Red Sox with Richard, to win the World series!

Richard is survived by: spouse Doris Tartakoff; daughter Nina Tartakoff with Richard Kemnitz; son Peter Tartakoff with Cheryl Impagliazzo; daughter Katy Tartakoff; daughter Gretchen Tartakoff with Brian Kelner; step-son Gene Whitman; step-son Neil Whitman with Susan Hollander. His loving family extends to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
