Helen was a treasure to me. We met through Genealogy research on Ancestry. She is a beloved cousin with whom I am most fortunate to have connected with her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Helen will be sorely missed at the senior center where she joyfully participated in so many life-affirming activities. She was a vital member of my memoir groups, sharing stories of her early life and supporting others in their attempts to tell important events from their their lives, past or present. Periodically when back in CT I would see her at the library or give her a call to see how she was faring or to hear the latest from her son Tom, whom I remembered well from LHHS. She always seemed so full of energy and joy. What an example to all of us.

Helen was a very sweet and kind person. Our family bonded over our love for animals. It started with her beloved rag doll cats Amos and Andy. It got even stronger when Helen and my family both were trying to help a homeless cat in need of care. Neither of us knew at first the other was helping this cat. This was Ally. Helen ended up bringing her to the vet, getting her healthy and adopting her. This speaks for the kind of person she was. Helen you have certainly earned your angel wings long before you were called home. In your honor, we will continue to feed the birds for you. You will be truly missed. Sending many thoughts and prayers to Helen’s family.
