Obituary of Arlene Mae Essency
MERIDEN- Arlene M. Essency, 86, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late James Edwin Essency, departed this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Regency House in Wallingford.
Arlene was born on April 1, 1929 in Presque Isle, ME, daughter of the late Guy and Rose (Deveau) Turner. She was one of 12 children. She was a communicant of the Church of the Resurrection. Arlene will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Her memory will live on in her children: Gloria Morgan of Meriden, Karen Essency of MA, Rhonda Scott and her husband Willie of Wolcott, and Bruce Essency of Meriden. She also leaves her siblings: Eva Condon of ME, Florence Stanich of OK, Donald Turner of ME, and Charles Turner of Wallingford. Arlene also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Matthew Essency, Brian Essency, Sarah Murphy, Samuel and Joseph Scott along with one great granddaughter, Lily Murphy. Arlene is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Essency and several siblings.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 3 - 6 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 9th at 12:30 PM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will be private at St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
