Obituary of Trishkin Star
WALLINGFORD - Trishkin Star, 69, of Wallingford passed early on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Hospital of Central, CT in New Britain.
She was the daughter of the late Betty and Ray Taylor of Stratford, CT. Known mainly as 'Star' to those in Wallingford, she would often be spotted on the streets in her power chair. She volunteered and provided help to places such as Master's Manna, Masonicare, and the Wallingford Public Library. She did also visit the Wallingford Senior Center. When she used public transport she saw her fellow riders as being her bus family. She was a most caring and gentle soul who wished none harm and wished all well. She listened to all with complete attention and sought to provide positive advice and inspiration whenever she could, especially to the sick and elderly. Always a people-person as well as an animal lover, her cat Puffkin is still with us. She was never at a loss with a smile, a wave, and a friendly greeting. Her absence will be very missed by those who did know her, for her smile filled the sky and uplifted the heart. She will be especially missed by her adopted brother Virgilio Caraballo.
Trishkin Star was a member of the Bahai Faith and will be buried at the Center Street Cemetery in Wallingford, CT. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements. A graveside service will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 4th. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trishkin's honor to the Walingford Animal Shelter, 5 Pent Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492.
