RICHMOND, VA - Theresa Moran Cross, 91, passed away February 23, 2016 after an illness. She was the loving wife of the late Bertrand Cross. She was born December 5, 1924 in Pawtucket, RI to the late William and Blanche (Potvin) Moran. She was a woman of great spirit and emphasized the importance of education throughout her children's lives. She attended St. Edwards Elementary School in Providence, RI and graduated from St. Xavier's High School Academy in Providence. She later attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Western New England College and received her BA degree in communications from Southern Connecticut State University. She did much volunteer work in her time in Wallingford in the 1950s and 1960s, and then in Amherst, MA in the 1960s and 1970s. She loved art, music, people and the world. She was also the International Student Administrator for SCSU in the 1980s-90s. She also loved politics, language and international travel. She is survived by her younger sister Anne Perry and her younger brother William Moran. She is also survived by her children: Lauren E. Cross, David B. Cross and Katherine Cross-Das and her husband Debendra Das as well as by her grandchildren: Julia and Ethan Cross (children of David Cross and Becka Ackerman) and grandson Sunit M. Das and his wife Michelle Das and their child, great-granddaughter Supriya Das. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 1st at 11:30 AM at Center Street Cemetery in Wallingford.
