So, sorry to read of Dave's passing. We all lived in the first development of Wallingford, West View Hills. Always enjoyed walking to his house on a summer's afternoon , and played in the backyard, as our Moms enjoyed a visit inside. We would always get to enjoy his mom's most delicious chocolate chip cookies. His father was such a fantastic carpenter... and all of us enjoyed our First Congregational Church . He was quite a tribute to his family, his church and his country. Our prayers are with you. Tom and Lyn (Connelly) Ferraiolo

Busy David.. We always enjoyed hearing of your many activities, especially good memories of your coming to Colorado for Holly's wedding. You were out exploring the mountains and we enjoyed having you in Vail with us so much. Thinking of all of you back in Connecticut and wishing I could be with you all on Saturday. My prayers go out to you.
Much Love Ruth and Tom

I remember David from a long time ago when I attended the First Congregational Church in Wallingford with my family. I haven't lived in Wallingford for many years, but David and his father were among some of the unforgettable people from my growing up. So sorry to hear of your loss.

To the family of Dave ,
You all have my deepest sympathy at the passing Dave. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and friend. We worked closely on the Memorial Committee for over thirty years and he always gave 100% in every thing he did. We often talked about our grandchildren and the joy he would get in telling me what they did together. He will be missed by many, but most of all by You. We all loved him, but God loved him best.
God Bless all of You and give you peace.
John Smith (Past Commander post 187 American Legion)

Dave, i will always remember the weekends camping with you and the 6th Conn. Most of all being able to walk with you on the way to YORKTOWN, you were a inspiration and true leader every morning when we stepped off. And you and Caitlin my daughter rolling cartridges at the 225th at Saratoga and her bringing them on the field in a water bucket.
God Bless you

I had the good fortune of knowing Mr. Holloway for more than 20 years in the Boy Scouts of America- Troop 5 in Wallingford. He was the Eagle Advisor of Troop 5. There are a great many things that I will always remember about Dave. His deep love for his country, dedication to his community, commitment to Troop 5 of Wallingford and his joy of travelling.
He was a man of character who was admired deeply, associated with dignity and integrity. He certainly was a good man.
He set up scholarships for those in Troop 5 who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He dedicated so much time and effort to help scouts with their Eagle projects.
He enjoyed travelling and had big plans for retirement, but God had a different plan for him.
May God bless his memory and the lives of all those he touched. . He will be missed by so many. The world is indeed a better place because of him.
We extend our deepest sympathy & condolences to the entire Holloway family.
