Obituary of Doris A. Lampman
CROMWELL - Doris A. Lampman, 100, beloved wife of the late Irving Lampman, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2015 in Hospice at Middlesex Hospital.
She resided in Cromwell, CT. for the past 41 years and formally lived in Wallingford. Doris was born August 15, 1915 to the late Eugene and Nellie Dwire of West Charleston, VT. She is survived by daughters Beatrice Myjak and husband John, Brenda (Bonnie) Avallone and husband Vincent, Kathryn Godek and brother Norman Dwire of Barton, VT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Jeffrey Myjak, Judie D'Alessandro and husband Tom, Peter Avallone, Amy Avallone, Joy Avallone, Todd Godek, Timothy Godek and wife Kelly, Travis Godek and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Mildred Whalen, Marcia Sheldon, Della Allen, Ruth Fletcher and Rita Farr.
She was a loving, caring mother with a great sense of humor who cherished her time with her grandchildren. She loved reading, cooking, travelling and fishing the Vermont Lakes with her husband. Doris' daughters wish to thank the staff at Middlesex Hospital and the Hospice Unit for their compassionate care and support provided Doris and her family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A private graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown. It is suggested that contributions in Doris' memory be directed to the Middlesex Hospice, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457.
