Obituary of Robert D. Staselunas

Robert Staselunas, 77, departed this life on August 10, 2015. He was born in Waterbury, CT on April 28, 1938 to his parents, Peter and Mary (Lukaseuski) Staselunas. Robert served in the United States Army and was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He recently received honors for serving the U.S. Postal service for 50 years. Robert loved animals and had many pets he rescued as strays throughout his life. He loved to garden and tend to his yard and harvested many vegetables from his personal garden over the years. He loved to cook and served as a cook when he was in the Army. Robert was predeceased by his sister Eleanor and her husband Robert Dreher. He is survived by their children, nieces: Linda Noonan, Laura Fusco, Anne Dreher, Diane Fama, Mary McBride and Victoria Dreher and nephews: Paul Dreher, David Dreher, Mark Dreher, Thomas Dreher, and Robert Dreher. He was also predeceased by his sister Mary and her husband Frank Watts, Jr. He is survived by their children, nieces: Anne Watts and Maria King. He is also survived by his cousins, Laura Weber, Elaine Zopka and Michael Zopka. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 10:30 AM at the Connecticut State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln. in Middletown, Ct. The B.C.
