My childhood is filled with memories of Mrs. Valenti. Such a lovely person... I remember her always smiling, always kind and thoughtful, she loved to laugh. She always seemed truly interested in what I had to say, what I was doing and after leaving Lupine Street, she welcomed me home whenever I came back. She held many secrets about the goings on across the street (high school) and unless safety was an issue, she kept those secrets as hers (we talked about everything later in life...) Morning glories bring me back to my childhood and calm my soul and make me think of Mrs. Valenti. Mrs. Valenti and I use to talk about their beauty- she grew amazing morning glories on the fence between her driveway and the Merkle's... hanging on the side porch, cutting through the back yard to get to the barn, playing and playing and playing. Bobby, Nola and Drew and your families- your Mom was a wonderful lady, a good neighbor and friend and so very proud of you all. She was a sharp, interesting, and intelligent lady and will be missed. (And one of the nicest people I have ever known) Thanks for great memories that would fill a book. My condolences to you all.
Love, Barbara Biesak Wesselman
