WALLINGFORD - Ronald Alcorn, 84, departed this life on June 30, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband Dorothy (Baxendale) Alcorn. Ronald was born in Waterbury on November 21, 1930 to the late Charles and Bertha (Lind) Alcorn. He served in the U.S. Navy and spent his career working for Eastern Elevator. He was a member of Local 91 and was an avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed golfing, spending winters in Florida and summers at the cottage he built in Maine. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Pamela Smith and her husband Warren and son Scott Alcorn and his wife Joyce, all of Wallingford; and grandchildren: Melissa Alcorn and Jessica and Matthew Smith. He was predeceased by his son, Ronald Alcorn, Jr. Friends may call on Friday, July 3rd from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford.
