WALLINGFORD - John T. Schneider, 78, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Theresa (Champaign) Schneider, died on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Skyview Medical Center. John was born on May 28, 1937 in Meriden, CT son of that late John and Eleanor (Martin) Schneider. Until his retirement, he was employed as a firefighter for the City of Meriden for 20 years. Mr. Schneider was a peacetime veteran, serving as an Airman in the U.S. Navy. He was a communicant of the Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville. In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 children: Jay Schneider, Dwight Schneider, Joey Schneider, and John Schneider. He also leaves 2 step-sons: Sam and Steven Rozel, along with a brother Roger Schneider, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. All services are private and at the convenience of the family.
