WALLINGFORD - John Marosz, 86, of Meriden, departed this life on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. John was born on September 4, 1928 in Meriden, CT, son of the late Martin and Mary (Regula) Marosz. He served in United States Navy during World War ll. He retired after 35 years from the City of Meriden Water Department as an equipment operator. In his retirement he worked as a custodian for the Wallingford Post Office on South Main Street, and as a driver for Fazzino Auto Supply. He is survived by his son: William G. Doucette and his wife Barbara of Wallingford, two grandchildren: Heather and Alicia Doucette, and one great grandson, Andrew Palmieri. John also leaves a brother, Stanley Marosz, a sister, Eleanor Nitkowski, one nephew and several nieces. He is preceded in death by three sisters: Julie Supranovich, Angaline Pratt, and Helen Tencza, and a brother Joe Marosz. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9 - 11 AM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:00 AM with interment following at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
