Middlefield - Robert David Wallace, 68, of Middlefield, departed this life at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was the loving husband of Shelley Wallace. Robert was born on August 5, 1946, in Meriden, CT, son of the late James and Cornelia Wallace. Prior to his retirement from the Tuxis Ohr Oil Company, Bob worked as a truck driver for Marcus Dairy, and most recently worked for Geremiah Farms. He was an avid camper, and enjoyed volunteering at the Durham Fair for over 10 years. Growing up as a farmer, Bob had a special love for animals, especially his dog Kayla. Beside his wife, Robert will be sadly missed by his brother: James Wallace (Alice) of New York, and his sister: Joan Dunn (Jim) of Wallingford, CT. He also leaves one sister-in-law: Donna Klein (David) of Maryland, several nieces and nephews, and his very dear friends: Steve and Bernie Paranzino of Middlefield, CT. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the B.C. Bailey Funeral home, 273 South Elm St. in Wallingford.
