BRISTOL - Michael A. Hayes Sr., 26, of Bristol and formerly of Meriden, departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his home. Michael was born on February 12, 1988 in Meriden, son of the Katrina Hayes and the late Patrick Hayes Sr. He enjoyed playing video games and loved being the father of his two children. He is survived by his children: Gabriella and Michael Hayes Jr. of Bristol. His beloved girlfriend, Alison Welch of Bristol. His mother, Katrina Hayes of South Meriden. Michael also leaves a brother, Patrick Hayes Jr. of Meriden, a nephew Aaron Hayes, along with his aunts: Lynn Kafka and Ethel Smith both of Meriden. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, October 1st from 4 - 6 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford, CT. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions maybe to directed to the family and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
