WALLINGFORD - Karol J. Mordarski, 94, departed this life on May 7, 2014 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. He was the loving husband of Erika (Reihs) Mordarski. He was born in Poland on January 5, 1920 to the late Jan and Jadwiga (Latka) Mordarski. He was part of the Polish-American Trucking Company after World War II and prior to his retirement he had worked for Wallingford Steel. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance and was a parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Church in Wallingford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Werner and his wife Marilyn of Wallingford, and Egon and his wife Marie of North Branford; a daughter: Erika Warner of Wallingford; five grandchildren: Steven, Derek, Celia, Don and Leslie; and four great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:30 am at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 139 North Orchard St., Wallingford. Those attending the mass should meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours. Interment at the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery of Wallingford will be private. It is suggested that contributions in Karol's memory be directed to SS. Peter and Paul Church.
