NORTHFORD - Virginia N. Hacku, 85, of Northford, beloved wife of Daniel Hacku, departed this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on April 10, 1929 in Meriden, daughter of the late George and Hazel (Holroyd) Wilcox and lived her early years in Wallingford. She was a homemaker most of her life caring lovingly for her husband and family. She was a part of the Leetes Island Guilford Community, and loved spending summers at the family cottage. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years Daniel Hacku of Northford. Two sons: Mark Hacku of Wallingford and Paul Hacku and his wife Lauren of Wallingford. Virginia also leaves two grandsons: Michael and Thomas Hacku, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother: John "Jack" Wilcox and a sister Sylvia Phillips. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, May 5th from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 PM on Monday with Pastor Doug Valentine of the First Baptist Church of Wallingford officiating. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery.
