Obituary of Marilyn J. Eureka

MERIDEN - Marilyn J. Eureka, 62, of Meriden, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2016, at Smilow Cancer Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the adored wife of Eugene Eureka, Jr. Marilyn was born in New Haven on June 7, 1953 to the late Charles and Gemma Adams. After retiring from 3M in Meriden, she spent most of her time enjoying her family, taking long walks by the beach, cooking, knitting, and especially her red Cadillac. Besides her husband, Marilyn will be sorely missed by her two children: Adam Eureka of PA, and Michelle Eureka of MA. She also leaves behind her brother Daniel Adams of Wallingford; and her sister Lorraine DellaValle (Don Ablamsky) of Cheshire. Marilyn leaves two nieces: Angela Della Camera and Pamela Fusco, one nephew: Curt DellaValle, as well as many cousins, other extended family, and many friends. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5PM-7PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street in Wallingford. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 8, 2016 at 10:30AM at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main Street, South Meriden. Interment will immediately follow at the Connecticut State Veterans' Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be forwarded to either the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450, or to the Smilow Cancer Center, Closer to Free, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
