WALLINGFORD - Elsa V. Wojcik, 92, of Wallingford and formerly of Gainesville, FL departed this life on December 24, 2013 at the Regency House in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Frank Wojcik. She was born in Millerton, NY, June 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Fred and Jennie Powers Douglass. She had worked at Seamless Rubber then at Federal Paper Box and finally at the International Silver Company. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Gainesville, FL, United L.L.L., Graceful Ladies, Methodist Women's Club all of the Grace United Methodist Church and also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wallingford. She is survived by a son Warren D. Smith of Wallingford, a step-son, Francis Thomas Wojcik of New Britain, along with 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Walter E. Smith, a step-daughter, Veronica Lorraine Burban, a brother, Vincent Fred Douglass, two sisters, Selma Butler and Ruth Parlee, along with a grandson Walter E. Smith Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, December 30th at 10 AM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
