WALLINGFORD - Giuseppe Colandrea, 73, departed this life on December 17, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Assunta (Scotto) Colandrea. He was born in Italy to the late Domenico and Annunziata (Spinelli) Colandrea. Prior to his retirement, he had worked at Napoli Pizza in Meriden and Aniello?s Restaurant in East Haven. He enjoyed making his own wine, gardening and watching the Napoli soccer team. His family was composed of many extended relatives and sharing time with them was one of his greatest joys. In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his sons: Domenico and his wife Janice of Meriden and Antonio and his wife Tammy of Maryland; his brothers: Franco of Delaware and Domenico of West Virginia; five grandchildren: Maria Assunta, Giuseppe, Ruby, Nora and Giuseppe; and many nieces and nephews, a wonderful extended family and dear friends. Friends are invited to call on the family on Sunday, December 22nd from 3-7:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Interment will be in Monte di Procida, Italy.
