MERIDEN - Dorothy M. Haley, 85, of Meriden and formerly of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Haley, departed this life on December 3, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer at the Masonic Healthcare Hospice in Wallingford, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born in Boston, MA, on October 29, 1928 a daughter of the late James and Anna (Curtis) Milazzo. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Dorothy enjoyed playing BINGO and Bocce, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her children: Joseph Haley and his wife Donna of RI, Justin Haley and his fiancée Joann Pulisciano of Hamden, and Judith Malinowski and her husband David of PA, along with her 5 grandchildren: Jessica, Daniel, Joseph, Robert, and Cameron. Dorothy also leaves her sister-in-law, Dorothy Bowes of MD and many nieces and nephews. Among her many friends Dorothy leaves her dear friends the Pasquarillo family. She is preceded in death by her sister Barbara Carnes. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, December 6th from 4 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at on Saturday, December 7th at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
