ORANGE - Thomas P. Haesche Sr., 93 of Orange, and formerly of West Haven, beloved husband of the late Agnes (TenEyck) Haesche, departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the West Haven VA Hospital. Thomas was born on December 6, 1919 in New Haven son of the late Rupert and Mary (Walsh) Haesche. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran who served during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Thomas was also a published author of short stories. He will be sadly missed by his children: Thomas P. Haesche Jr. and his significant other Frances Chancey of West Haven, June Burian and her husband John of Naugatuck, Susan Bogart of Wallingford, and Sandra Squeglia and her husband Richard of Wallingford. Thomas also leaves a brother, Richard Haesche and his wife Agnes of Colchester along with 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by a son, Terrance E. Haesche along with one sister and three brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 5th at 10 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford with full military honors. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
