WALLINGFORD - Deborah D. Fekete, 91, beloved wife of the late Gabriel J. Fekete, departed this life peacefully with her family by her side at the MidState Medical Center on November 20, 2013. Deborah was born on April 28, 1922 in Howland, ME to the late Wilfred and Ethel (Duncan) Dobson. Until her retirement, she worked at the Choate School in the financial department and was a founding member of the Choate Women Retiree Luncheon Group. She had been a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and was active in the Women's Guild. She had a great love of reading and knitting, traveling with her husband, and was proficient using her computer even in later years. Her greatest joy and legacy is that of a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Geraldine Aldridge and her husband William of Palm Desert, CA, Marilyn Florentino and her husband Anthony of Shelton and Doug Fekete and his wife Laura of Wallingford; seven grandchildren, John and Matthew DeBarbieri, Dustin and Heather Aldridge, and Kimberly, Christopher and Valerie Fekete; and two great grandchildren: Marcus Gabriel and Anna Rosetta DeBarbieri. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford, 114 North Main Street, on Monday, November 25th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Center Street Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford.
