WALLINGFORD - Edward Pierzga, 87, of Wallingford, beloved husband of the late Leakadya Pierzga, departed this life on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Edward was born on February 25, 1926 in Warren, MA son of the late Andrew ad Mary Pierzga. He enlisted in the Navy when he was only 17 years old and served during World War II as a Gunner 3rd Class. He later retired after 37 years as a machinist from Wallingford Steel. He also enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the casino. He will be sadly missed by his children: Carolyn DePaulo of Wallingford, Susan Pierzga of Wallingford, and Leigh Kloss and her husband John of PA. Edward also leaves 5 beloved grandchildren: Michele, Edward, Ashlee, Joseph, and Jason. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, August 30th from 9 - 10 AM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral will follow the period of calling at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow services at In Memoriam Cemetery.
