WALLINGFORD - David M. Banack, 80, departed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. He was the beloved husband of Sophie (Warzecha) Banack. He was born in Meriden on November 23, 1932, a son of the late Julius and Eva (Graham) Banack. David was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Until his retirement, he was employed by FiServ Corporation. He was a member of Major Raoul Lufbery V.F.W. Post 591 and the P.N.A. both of Wallingford. In addition to his wife Sophie, he will be missed by his two devoted and loving children, Maureen Banack and Luke Banack both of Wallingford and a sister, Jewel Mele of Wethersfield. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 19th at 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, North Colony St., Wallingford. There are no calling hours. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. is in charge of arrangements.
