Obituary of Pasquale Cusano
WALLINGFORD - Pasquale Cusano, 95, husband of the late Anna Mazzaro Cusano, passed from this life on July 9, 2013. He was born on January 12, 1918 in Waterbury, CT and raised in Italy from a young age, until the age of 19.
He and his sister Rosalie returned to the United States in 1936 to pave the way for the rest of the family to immigrate.
Anna and Pasquale wed on September 18, 1948 and settled in Wallingford where they raised their five sons.
Pasquale worked for Insilco Corp. for over 40 years. After his retirement from Insilco, he was employed as a custodian at the Wallingford Town Hall for over ten years.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Pasquale found his greatest joy with his family. He was also very proud to be asked to drive in the Memorial Day Parade every year in his treasured 1973 yellow El Dorado convertible.
He was predeceased by the love of his life Anna, parents Dominic & Josephine Cusano, one brother & six sisters, and two daughters-in-law.
He is survived by his brother Vincenzo and wife Filomena, and five sons: Raymond & Robin Cusano of Waterford, Dominic Cusano of Wallingford, William Cusano of Berlin, David & Zoraida Cusano of Wallingford, and Patrick & Tracy Cusano also of Wallingford. Also, Granddaughters Sheila, Kayla, and Patricia, Great grandchildren Alexander, Travis, Makayla, and Miliani; Granddaughter Brittany, her fiancé Christopher Banville, and Great Grandson Greyson, Grandson David Jr.,his fiancé Katie Souviney and Great Grandson Malachi, Grandsons Pasquale and Dominic, all of whom will miss him dearly.
The family will receive those wishing to pay their respects on Sunday, July 14th from 4 - 7 PM at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 15th at 10:30 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church, 68 North Colony Road, Wallingford with internment to follow at St .John's Cemetery, 400 Christian St., Wallingford.
