Obituary of Louise Fraser Page
WALLINGFORD - Louise Fraser Page, loving wife and mother, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was married to the late Dennis Benjamin Page of Wallingford for sixty-three years. The Page family would like to thank the staff at the Masonic Health Care Center for the care given to Louise.
Mrs. Page was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 13, 1924 the daughter of the late Hallet and Henrietta Fraser. Louise volunteered her time with many organizations including the United Service Organizations during World War II, the American Cancer Society, the Junior Women's Club of Wallingford where she was one of the founders of Wallingford's Spelling Bee, and recently on Ramage 3 at the Masonic Health Care Center. Louise enjoyed reading to children at the Wallingford Public Library, Rock Hill School and St. Paul's Nursery school. She participated in many walk-a-thons for charity while spending winters in Florida. Louise worked for many years in the offices of Doctors Boyd, Ferguson and Wein. Louise was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, an excellent dancer and known for her kindness and optimism.
Louise is survived by a son, Dennis H. Page of Wallingford; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilee Reitman and Harold S. Reitman, M.D. of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Deborah Mansfield Page of Wallingford; six grandchildren: Taya Page of Stamford, CT; Rebecca Reitman of Boca Raton, FL; Caroline Golschneider and her husband Michael of Middletown; and Graham and Abigail Page of Wallingford. Her sister Alice Sarno of Beachmont, MA, her brother Robert Fraser of Edmonton, Canada and sister-in-law Suzanne Fraser of Phoenix, AZ also survive her along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her brothers, Corporal Hallet Fraser and A. Leslie Fraser; her brother-in-law, Peter S. Sarno and a daughter-in-law Christine Steblek Page.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St., Wallingford. Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's memory to the All Saints Memorial Fund, c/o St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main St., Wallingford 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
