David Robert Koehler, 69, of Cheshire, formerly of Seaford, NY, was called to his eternal resting place on December 1, 2016 at the Meriden Center after a long battle with MS. He was the loving husband of Susan (Yost) Koehler. He was born on April 22, 1947 in Greenfield, MA, born to the late Robert and Mildred (Wanegar) Koehler. David worked as a Police Officer for Nassau County for twenty-two years. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating and gardening. Besides his loving wife Susan, David is survived by his four children; David Kevin Koehler (Kristin) of Washington, DC; Jill Koehler of Cheshire, CT; Scott Koehler (Megan) of York , PA, and Dawn Goswick (Chris) of Acworth, GA. He also will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Hannah, Madelyn, Yasmin, Sophia and Raegan. Services for David will be private. A memorial celebration will be held in the summer.
