MERIDEN - Gail Lynn (Oliver) Valibus, 56, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Lexington Park, MD on March 11, 1957, the daughter of the late Vivian Stevens and Theodore Oliver. She lived in Wallingford many years and later moved to Meriden. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 37 years, Ron Valibus. Also saddened by her passing is Gail's son Jeffrey Valibus and his girlfriend Hannah Disereits, her sister Abbie (Oliver) Prevost and her husband Paul Prevost, and brother Bill Stevens. Her nieces and newphew will also miss her: Alexandra and Jacques Prevost, Jessica, Jackie, Julia and Charlie Stevens. She also leaves behind very special cousins Carole Ann Smith and Darlene Garber of Delaware and family. Gail had worked as a Unit Secretary at Mid-State Medical for 25+ years and loved her job and all her friends on Pavilion D. She will be missed by her good friend Sue Keene along with Annie, Rose, Kristy and Ann who supported her to the end. The family would like to thank the visiting nurses, Tina and Gina for all their support and compassion. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, 5 to 7 pm, at the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. Funeral will be private.
