WALLINGFORD - Kilcha Layman, 72, of Wallingford, beloved wife of George J. Layman, departed this life on April 14, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Kilcha was born on August 14, 1940 in Pusan, Korea daughter of the late Yi Chi Sam and Kim Kyong Ran. She was a devoted military wife, accompanying her husband in the course of his Army career to numerous duty stations both stateside and in South Korea. Her greatest joy was found in being a wife, mother, and grandmother to her beloved family. She will be missed greatly by her husband George of Wallingford and her two daughters: Tami Sabo and her husband Thomas of Wallingford and Lisa Holliday and her husband Bruce of Australia. She also leaves four beloved grandchildren: Rachel, Katherine, Caroline, and Samuel. Kilcha is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. All services are private and at the convenience of the family. The B. C. Bailey Funeral of Wallingford has been entrusted to arrangement.
