WALLINGFORD - Barbara Hubert Riley, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at MidState Medical Center with her family by her side. Barbara was born on January 20, 1927 at the Meriden Hospital. Daughter of the late Stephen Hubert and Florence McGuire Hubert, she leaves behind her loving husband, Roy R. Riley, her son Earl M. Atkinson, grandson Taylor W. Kroeber, step-son Rob Riley of Florida, grand daughter Shannon Riley of Texas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in the Pilgrim's Harbor community. Barbara graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1945 and retired from Yale University Central Dean's Office. She enjoyed being with her family and working in her garden. Barbara's family would like to thank the staff at MidState CCU for their compassionate care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
