NORTHFORD - Mary C. Jakubisyn, 91 , of Northford, beloved wife of the late Henry Jakubisyn, departed this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, August 24, 1920, daughter of the late Ronald and Kate (Gillis) Smith. Mary spent her life as a loving homemaker taking care of her family. Her faith was an important part of her life and she was a communicant of St. Monica's Church in Northford. Her greatest accomplishment was that of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Betty) Jakubisyn of Patrick Air Force Base in Florida, John Jakubisyn of Ft. Myers, FL, two daughters, Gail Monaco and Bonnie (Robert) Mathews both of Northford, one brother,Donald Smith of Nova Scotia, Canada. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Marie Martin. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 4-6 pm at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 6th at 10:00 am at St. Monica's Church in Northford. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
