WALLINGFORD - Mary P. Reynolds, 81, of Wallingford, beloved wife of 54 years to George E. Reynolds Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. Mary was born on February 8, 1931 in Derby, CT, daughter of the late Marshall and Margaret (Parmalee) Plankey. She retired in 1971 after 18 years with Eastern Industries in Hamden. On May 10, 1958 she married George and they spent many years of loving marriage together. She was a Boston Red Sox fan. In her spare time she enjoyed boating, cooking, and spending summers in Vermont. She will be sadly missed by her husband George of Wallingford. She also leaves her brother in laws: Richard Reynolds and his wife Mary of Madison, David Reynolds and his wife Nancy of Kingston, TN, and Paul Reynolds and his wife Beatrice of Groton. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother: Francis Plankey and a brother-in-law Charles Reynolds and his wife Barbara. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, April 20th from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford.
