NORTHFORD - Patrick J. Ackerson, 47, departed this life on April 14, 2012. He was born in New Haven on December 8, 1964 to Jean (Carlson) Ackerson and the late Albert Ackerson. In addition to his mother, he will be sadly missed by his son, Thomas Ackerson of New York; his brothers: Albert H. Ackerson of Clinton and Richard V. Ackerson of Killingworth; and his sister: Mary Ackerson Stone of Northford. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Ackerson DeNardis. Pat was an accomplished mechanic and loved working on foreign, exotic cars. He had a magnetic personality which made him loved and respected by all who knew him. Pat was generous with his time and experience. His love for his son, Tommy, was immeasurable. Patrick will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched. Graveside services were held at the All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
