WALLINGFORD - Charles S. Goodison, 87, entered into rest on April 11, 2012 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was born in Meriden, April 1, 1925, a son of the late Wilbur and Marion (Miller) Goodison Sr. Until his retirement, he had worked for 30 years at Devoe Paint Company in North Haven prior to going to Standard Paint and Wallpaper in Hamden. Mr. Goodison was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Wallingford Elks Club, American Legion, Wallingford Rod and Gun Club, and the Central CT Striper Club. He is survived by two nephews, Mark S. Goodison of South Meriden and Peter C. Goodison of Georgia; four great nephews: Matthew, Thomas, Michael and James Goodison; and on great niece: Julie Goodison. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 18th at 10:30 AM in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Interment with military honors will be held at the In Memoriam Cemetery.
