WALLINGFORD - Elizabeth "Betty" Penna, 58, of Wallingford, beloved wife of Andrew Penna, departed this life on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital following a brief illness. Betty was born on March 12, 1953 in New Haven, daughter of the late Fred and Gladys (Stiles) Canfield. She was employed with Findley Distributors for over 15 years, and also at Everybody's Market in New Haven. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 39 years Andrew Penna. She also leaves three children: Casey (Todd) Kennedy, Andrea (Tim) Larsen both of Wallingford, and Lance Corporal Andrew Penna, Jr. USMC. She also leaves 3 sisters: Laurie (David) Dillon, Shirley (Carlos) Canfield, and Tara Canfield along with a brother, Scott (Lynn) Canfield. She also leaves 7 beloved grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother Douglas Canfield and a sister, Carol Wilde. Our wife, mother and sister, Betty, was a wonder full person and cared deeply about her family. She also was a animal lover and enjoyed the summer weather and all it entailed. She had a passion for word and jigsaw puzzels. She was a fan of the Syfy Channel, loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a fetish for tag sales. She loved her sisters very much and considered them her best friends. Cooking Sunday dinner was a highlight of her week. She will be truly missed. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 4 - 6:30 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S.
