Mt. Vernon, ME - John B. St. Pierre, 55, of Mt. Vernon, ME and formerly of Wallingford, departed this life on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on March 11, 1956 in Meriden, son of Sally (Caldwell) St. Pierre - Johansen and the late John F. St. Pierre. He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and later studied Animal Science at UCONN. John's passions included hunting, fishing, hiking, reading, and spending time outdoors. The most important thing in his life was maintaining his relationship with his daughter Desiree and grandson Jackson along with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his Daughter, Desiree and his Grandson Jackson of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves his mother, Sally Johansen and her husband Richard of Wallingford and four siblings: Jeffrey St. Pierre of Wallingford, James St. Pierre and his wife Diana of Durham, Judith Johansen of Wallingford and Jason St. Pierre of Wallingford, in addition to numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, George St. Pierre. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, January 14th from 12:00 (NOON) - 3:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A time of sharing will take place at 3 PM in the funeral home, in lieu of a "typical" funeral service, because this is what John would have wanted. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to a Scholarship Fund for his grandson, Jackson; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
