Obituary of Marilyn Hax-Niederfringer
WALLINGFORD - Marilyn (Jeralds) Hax-Niederfringer, 92, formerly of Bittersweet Ridge Retirement Community in Middlefield, departed this life on January 4, 2012 at the Masonic Healthcare Center.
Marilyn was born on March 29, 1919 in Meriden, CT daughter of the late Howard and Catherine (Kruger) Jeralds. Before moving to Middlefield in 1988, Marilyn and Paul were residents of Newington, CT. Marilyn was a 1937 graduate of Lyman Hall High School. While raising her family of three, she was active in Cub Scouts, served as president of the local P.T.A. and Wallingford PTA Council, taught a 5th grade Sunday school classs and was president of the Yalesville Methodist Church Wesleyan Service Guild. She was a 25-year employee of American Cyanmid in Wallingford. After the untimely death of her husband, Paul, she moved to Middlefield and became well-known for her craft work.
Surviviors include Philip and Barbara Hax of Wallingford, Priscilla and Ronald Perrin of Wallingford, David Hax of Yalesville, grandchilden: Brian Hax and his wife Mary, Colleen Hax-Yoder and her husband Tom, Mellissa Perrin, Robbe Perrin and his wife Jennifer, Meredith Hutchinson and her husband Bill, and Scott Hax. She also leaves 10 great grandchildren: Garrett Hax, Tatum Hax, Aiden Yoder, Marlee Yoder, Mason Perrin-Woodard, Sophie Perrin, William, Casey, Ashley, and Jacob Hutchinson. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore C. Hax, and Paul Niederfringer.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 9th from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private and at In Memoriam Cemetery.
