MIDDLETOWN - Gladys Marie (Kennedy) Gomez, 63, of Middletown, departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2011 at her home in Middletown after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Roberto Gomez. Gladys was born on August 1, 1948, in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Brown) Sherman. Gladys had a tremendous love for animals and enjoyed watching scary movies. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed by daughters: Christine Moore of Manchester and Catherine Moore Cervero and her husband Justin of Wallingford; her step daughter: Jennifer Parks of MA; a step son: Michael Burby of Glastonbury; her beloved granddaughter: Lila Cervero; brothers: Edward and Thomas Sherman; her former husband: Michael Moore; and her nephew and nieces. She is preceded in death by her dear sister Barbara Turgeon and her brother William Sherman. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at the B.C.
