WALLINGFORD - Elmer Tanch, 92, of Wallingford entered into rest on December 24, 2011 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of the late Teresa (Ranciato) Tanch. Elmer was born in Wallingford on March 24, 1919, a son of the late Louis and Eleanor (Bakos) Tanch. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he ran road crews for the State of Connecticut. Elmer had been active at the Good News Christian Church. He will be sadly missed by his brother, James Tanch of Wallingford and several nieces and nephews, and his best friend Ray Sittnick. He was predeceased by his brother Louis and his sisters: Irene Fekete, Martha Fekete, Julia Kavanagh, Margaret Kosnoff, and Helen Kosa. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 10:00 AM at the Good News Christian Church, 46 John St., Wallingford. Burial will follow at the All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. There are no calling hours.
