Obituary of Ethel Horvath Novak

WALLINGFORD - Ethel (Horvath) Novak, 88, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Stanley C. Novak Sr., departed this life peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2011. Ethel was born on December 10, 1922 in Wallingford, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Lasko) Horvath. She worked for Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford, and later retired as an accounting clerk from Stanley Judd Drapery Hardware. She was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, sewing, antiques, and most importantly spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her beloved children: Stanley Novak Jr. of North Haven, and Susan Turenne and her husband John of Wallingford. She also leaves two beloved grandchildren: John and Sarah Turenne both of Wallingford. She is preceded in death by her brother John Horvath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7th at 11:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-2338. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
